About VIMtrek – producers of 3D rendering plugins for Revit

Established in 2011, SmartLABs is a joint venture project between building information modelling software developer SmartBIM and Vizerra, a 3D interactive technology company specializing in developing gaming and simulation algorithms.

The joint venture has developed the VIMtrek software, initially as VIMtrek Producer and VIMtrek Viewer. The software platform as a plug-in to Revit offers a new way for the AEC industry to experience a collaborative and fully interactive design, bid & build process.

VIMtrek is a real-time, interactive experience and complete immersion in the building and interiors environment, enabling architects, designers, and contractors to work faster, smarter, and greener. The free VIMtrek Viewer allows non Revit users to be given access to locked down files, walk freely around the model, and leave VIMnotes for the producer.

SmartBIM also supplies ecoScorecard software which provides building professionals with the ability to search, evaluate and document products based on their environmental characteristics.
